Description
Dreaming Florence sells a real estate complex beloging to a Company located betweeb the towns of Gaiole, Radda and Castellina in Chianti.
The property is composed of the main villa, various outbuildings and land totaling 153 hectares.
The land is mostly used as vineyards where it is produced red wine Chianti Classico DOCG and IGT Vin Santo and olive grove of about 18 hectares. The property includes also warehouses for the production and bottling of wine and tourist license for a total of 34 beds. The villa and the church are under the constraint of the Superintendence of Fine Arts of Siena and classified 5 stars among the residences.
The villa: isolated in respect to the agricultural buildings is dated back to the early 1700’s although the current aspect is dated between 1914 and 1919 further to the restoration made by architect Ludwig Fortini.
The complex is formed by typical buildings dated between the seventeenth and the eighteenth century and are typical fo those of a Traditional Tuscan villa-farm of Renaissance architecture.
The property offers also a vegetable garden, an olive press and cellars. The latter still appear as they were originally built in the rock, covered with large vault and occupied by barrels of various sizes. The interior is made by its original brick floor and most of the rooms have an ancient beamed ceiling and/or exposed rafters.
The villa is located in a wonderful location in the Chianti region. The facade is characterized by a ladder broken in two pieces of great visual impact. In the park there is a chapel dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene de ‘Pazzi.
The chapel has the date 1584 on the lintel and the following inscription: DOM TM MAGDALENA DE Pazzis OF A.D. MDLXXXIV. The Chapel is in such good condition thanks to the renovation carried out in 2000.
